It's almost a year ago to the day that we had our first meeting about creating Above The Line. Only a few weeks later, the UK and just about every country in the world would be in lockdown trying to curb the spread of the Covid19 pandemic. It's a testament to this scrappy team of filmmakers that we've managed to create content, build a website and a community without hardly being in the same room together for an entire year! As we look ahead into 2021, we hope to bring you in person events, film screenings, and much more.

This month we're adding lots more content for you covering a range of topics, which we hope you'll find interesting and useful!

One of the most important aspects of film production is, you guessed it, catering! Keeping people happy and healthy is the best way to help them keep motivated and creative. In this video we give you some tips on how to cater your films, even on a small budget:

Catering on set
We provide you with some tips on how to feed cast and crew on a film set.

Once you've finished production you need to head into the edit. The editing process can be both a daunting and exciting time. So we made a video about what you can expect and how to make it a creative and rewarding experience.

Stages of Editing
We take you through the steps of editing your film and offer you some tips on managing the process.
